Hello friends!!

I will be flying off to Hong Kong for a short trip later on in the wee hours, so I am using a little bit of spare time now to write a short sharing post with you all!

So as you guys know, I have recently started using makeup products and I am already starting to realize that I seem to have an unhealthy obsession with lipsticks. Like I could be satisfied with just one blusher, one eyeshadow palette, but every time I see a new lipstick I get so drawn to it. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I am always like "Girl, you only have one pair of lips, why the heck do you need another lipstick? Furthermore, don't you already have like five others at home??"

Alright alright, I get it.

I feel like I am currently on my way to curbing my obsession, because a couple of days back I finally bit the bullet and spent SGD$20 on the 3CE Mood Recipe Matte Lip Colour (#115 Muss). So now, whenever I see a new lipstick, I have every reason to convince myself that since I already spent $20 on a lipstick, I shouldn't get more before I finish using it (and all the rest that I already have...).

Well, we'll see how long this level of discipline will last hurhur *cold sweat*

Anyhoo, onto the main topic which are these Rue Kwave Lipsticks that I recently got because...I totally needed them. Yup.

I did a quick internet search on this brand and it is a Korean cosmetics brand - anything Korean should be good right? So it means I should get it right? RIGHT??

I got it in two shades: #PK702 Hashtag Romantic (left) and #PK704 Cherry Blossom Archive (right).

These are their official swatches:

Top: #PK702 Hashtag Romantic // Bottom: #PK704 Cherry Blossom Archive

From the wrist swatches, the colours actually look really similar to each other. Luckily, they do look different when swatched on the lips!

Just like the official swatches, #PK704 is a lighter shade of pink while #PK702 leans towards a bolder fuschia pink.

The formula is very moisturising and pigmented, I only glided the lipstick over twice to get the coverage in the pictures. I actually lightly blotted away the excess on my lips AFTER applying two layers cause I thought it felt lighter on my lips that way.

The lipstick is not transfer-proof, but it does stay on quite decently if you are just drinking water (basically activities where you don't need to lick or wipe your lips).

Overall, I think the colours are really pretty and they have a REALLY extensive range of colours for you to choose from. These lipsticks are also super moisturising and pigmented which are major plus points! Did I also mention they smell really good? They don't reek of artificial cosmetic fragrances, but instead smell pleasantly sweet!

Will I buy it again? HEH NO. TRICK QUESTION UH. Remember, we talked about discipline at the start of the post? HAHAHA.

Discipline, I know. Discipline.

But on a serious note, if you are also unhealthily obsessed with lipstick products like me and you want to give it a shot, I would say go for it! Buy the more unconventional colours like orange or something! Try new stuff, don't be boring...like me.

You can get them on Qoo10, which is where I got mine!

That's all for this post, I'll be signing off and preparing for my flight later on! See ya!
