Spend an evening exploring this hidden gem in the west of Singapore!

Journeyed all the way into the west (again) to Raffles Marina, where we caught an amazing sunset at the pier, where the Johor Straits Lighthouse is.
You have to be at the pier for youself to discover its picturesque view and serene atmosphere, words and pictures would not suffice! In this post I will share with you our journey there and how to get around to enjoy your very own sunset walk.
Best Time To Go, and Getting There:
Raffles Marina is accessible by both public transport and car.
Public Transport
Hop onto Bus 192 or 193 from Boon Lay Bus Interchange and alight just outside Raffles Marina (the 27th stop). The bus journey will take you approximately 45-50 minutes.
Car
Raffles Marina is accessible by two main expressways - PIE & AYE. However, do note to *always* keep left while you're on the expressway nearing the Tuas Bus Terminal, as one wrong lane will direct you to the Tuas Checkpoint instead.
Parking is free for two hours only if you dine in at the restaurants within the Raffles Marina.
We arrived at Raffles Marina at 6pm and a short 5 minute walk into the club will bring you to the yachts and also the pavement leading to the lighthouse. Arriving at 6pm *may* seem a little too early (especially since sun only sets at about 6:45pm-7pm), but that will give you ample time to leisurely stroll along the waterfront and soak in the calm breeze and infinite view. Reaching at 6pm will also ensure you do not miss the golden hour for photography. Plus, there are benches along the waterfront so you will have sufficient time to enjoy a snack while waiting for the sunset too!

After the Sunset:
Restaurants are available within the club, so if you are feeling a little richer on that particular day you may check them out. Otherwise, I would actually recommend you to travel out and have dinner outside since it will be on the way home too. You may take the same buses from the bus stop you alighted earlier on and alight at Boon Lay Interchange or Pioneer MRT for dinner nearby.
End
This spot is perfect if you want to disengage from your usual city life but do not want to travel too far out. Take things off your mind while enjoying the landscape and serene environment here. This also makes a perfect photography spot for photo-taking lovers! Till then,
