Oh my gosh, this is such a long overdue post as my trip to IKEA Tampines was on 21 May and it has already been 10 days since?
Anyhoo! This post is going to be more on pictures that I took while I was there and I can foresee that this space is starting to turn into sort of a picture diary for myself. For myself to document on the different places that I have visited so that when I look back when I'm older, these become memories of my former self.

IKEA's style of interior design is really clean and minimalist as you can see from the pictures (if you would kindly excuse my narcissistic need of having to be in most of these pictures HAHA).
So I think even if you weren't going there for any furniture-shopping, you could jolly well head there to get some ideas on how to design your homes!
I especially super love the bedsheets in the last picture cause its white and has these little floral prints on it!!!! SUPER CHIO.
And the decor is here is really nice, LOL just look at how many mirror selfies I took throughout my whole trip: #supervain

More to come later LOL.
Anyhoo! Onto the next room that we visited. This is probably a girl's bedroom and ITS SUPER CHIO. If my room decor was like this (everything so white and nice with this big mirror), I think I could bum around all day in my room HAHA.

And they even have...

...this pig on the mirror. HAHA DAMN CUTE. More pigs coming your way later hahaha.

And the bed, with some narcissistic dude on it tryna act candid and blocking the view of the bed. Well done. LOL. To be honest this bed was a little too small. Unless you totally don't move when you sleep, you'll bound to roll down the bed! But okay la, the cushions are chio, pastel pink checks somemore.
Moving on, no more rooms to show, but still will have some mirror selfies so BRACE YOURSELVES, FRIENDS.
First up, dog plush toys!

These dogs spell happiness. Seriously. Just look at their expressions, all super happy and cheerful!! Especially check out the left one on the highest shelf (the one lying on its side), SUPER DUPER CUTE AND HAPPY DOG.

And this, friends, is what you call...non-resting bitch face. HUEHUEHUE.
...and ALOHA PIGLETS.

ONE WHOLE RACK OF THEM HAHAH TAKE YOUR PICK. Super duper soft and perfect as your bolster companion.
Real pig and pseudo pig taking a picture together.

ANNNNNNNND...

A piglet doing morning stretches!! HAHAHA SO CUTIEEEEEEE. Well, this piglet has to thank me for coming up with this position before it is able to look so cute and photogenic.

Finger puppets at $9.90 for 5 fingers? I cannot remember exactly.

Fluffy clouds cushions!! Was $12.90 each last year, this year $9.90. This I can remember HAHA.
And also found a quaint little corner exuding super rustic feels. Wooden racks and little potted plants.

That's about the end of the "showroom" parts of IKEA!
For friends that have not been to IKEA before, they have cleverly (in my opinion) segmented their outlet as follows: SHOWROOMS, EATERY, STOCK RACKS (where you grab all those furniture that you have decided on). In this way, customers get to see the actual products, deliberate about it over lunch, and after their tummies are filled and ready for round 2, they head down to the stock racks to grab their furniture. Pretty smart move I would think.
ANYWAYS BACK TO THE IKEA EXPERIENCE:
FOOD !!
The queue starts forming at 11am and 12pm is the peak, so be sure to head to the cafeteria around 11-1130am before the queue gets too long! Everything is pretty self-serviced but I really like the atmosphere there.
On to the food:-
While queuing, you can choose between an array of sides/desserts to add onto your tray from the shelves!
DESSERTS

Can't remember the price of each Portuguese tart (maybe $1?) but I think it could be worth a try if you were craving for it! I personally think the slices of cakes were a little overpriced. $3.50 for a slice is a little bit tipping the scale for me. Or maybe I'm just a cheapo (gosh). It might taste great, hence the price. I don't know, I have never tried it, but I do see a fair bit of people picking up these desserts so...try it if you don't mind the price (or if you're not as cheapo as me HAHA) !!
MAIN COURSE
Alright, from my memory, there were:
Rendang Meat Balls
- portion seemed too small for the price.
Salmon
- think this was around $7? But I was forewarned by a friend that IKEA's salmon were too dry, hence I avoided it
Chicken Chop
- hadn't heard anything bad about it and the portion looked pretty big and value for money too
Of course, all these comes with some vegetables to complete the meal.
There were kids meal too! But from what i noticed from other tables, it's just smaller portions of food.
For myself, as a cheapo, I would evidently order something value for money -
the CHICKEN CHOP ($4.50).

Overall Taste: 6/10
Price Reasonableness: 8/10
Verdict: Value for $, taste-wise just average.
True enough to what we anticipated, the portion was really huge.
The chicken chop was fairly big. The sauce is tasty, but I would say the meat looks overcooked and tastes a little too tough.
The fries weren't the most crispy, probably due to its thickness, but it tasted pretty decent.
The broccoli were..hard. HAHA YES PRETTY HARD. And tasteless too. My guess is they just blanched it in hot water to cook it. So I'm not a big fan of the broccoli.
All in all.....okay la, for $4.50 I wouldn't complain that much. It's still decent and very filling.
SIDES
Okay, this section I think type like never type, cause i only got ONE side, and my eyes were not in use at that moment and I don't remember any other sides that were available. HAHA. Or maybe its just my brain going into memory loss mode now.
SOUP OF THE DAY: MUSHROOM SOUP ($3.50)

Overall Taste: 9/10
Price Reasonableness: 8/10
Verdict: Have to try especially if you're a fan of mushroom soups.
This, my friends, is da bomb. The mushroom taste is really rich and the soup base super flavourful. I do think that for the size of the bowl, $3.50 is a little bit high, but would i drink it again? HELL YES. PEOPLE, TRUST ME. DRINK THIS.
So after eating, where is the next most popular spot? The toilet, yes.
AND FRIENDS, IKEA'S TOILET IS DAMN CLEAN. No pictures uh, cause toilet. HAHA. BUT YAH, VERY CLEAN MUST PATRONISE KAY.
AND>>>

>>> LOL even go toilet along the way also got chio wall and mirror to take picture.
I cannot HAHA.
Moving on to the stock shelves area now!
Lets go.
First of all, these are cow fur mats....

WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE DO THIS TO THE COWS? WTH SERIOUSLY THIS IS THE CORNER THAT SADDENS ME THE MOST. I didn't even stay a second longer here after i found out they were made from real cow fur. REAL COW FUR, GUYS. Hopefully no one buys these and IKEA stops producing it.

Some artificial blooms for interior decoration.

Figurines for....manipulative people who like to act as control freaks?? LOL.

Aiseh, got trolley somemore. But never forgetting to take a mirror selfie...LOL.

Chey, take trolley...to take picture only HAHA #cheapthrills, or #freethrills more like it.
AND LO & BEHOLD:
CARROTS ON A PICNIC WEW.

SO CUTE HAHA CARROT WEARING CAP:

The vege part of the carrot actually forms the skirt for it. HAHAHA seriously whoever came up with this plush toy is too creative.
ANYHOO! Let's move on to the last part (about food again YAZ):
THE IKEA SOFTSERVE ICE CREAM CONE ($0.50)

Overall Taste: 100/10
Price Reasonableness: 100/10
Verdict: If you only had 50 cents left in the world, buy this. Period.
IKEA's Softserve cone is super duper famous for being DIRT CHEAP YET SUPER DUPER YUMMY.
It's like 10X the yumminess of Mac's Vanilla Cone, but at only HALF THE PRICE.
BUY.
HOTDOG BUN ($1)
IKEA's hotdog bun is also a must try. I didn't get it that time round cause we were all so stuffed from the chicken chop HAHA.
$1 - you get a nicely blanched hotdog with a bread, and unlimited amount of mustard/chili/tomato sauce according to preference. I like to mix the mustard and chili sauce with my hotdog buns - simply because mustard sauce isn't something we get frequently at other fast food chains/eateries & IKEA's mustard sauce is good. PERIOD.
FROZEN YOGHURT ($1.50)
Okay, so apparently this was some relatively new product launched, but it was pretty well received amongst their patronizers too. It comes in a little paper cup (maybe similar sizing to Llao Llao's smallest cup of yoghurt for sale) and as usual, you stick it onto the machine and let the machine do its job.
I didn't try this because i am a devoted fan of the ice cream cone + I am a cheapo so $1.50 sounded a little too ex for me HURHUR.
.
.
.
Alright, friends, that's all i have to share about my trip to IKEA 2 weekends back! AH and of course not forgetting to end the post with...
LOL PICTURES OF ME! Well.... sorry la just bear with my face for 2 more photos.

Till next time!
